Susan DeBlack, OD, was appointed to the Arkansas State Board of Optometry in November 2020 by Governor Asa Hutchinson. A native Arkansan, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1992, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. DeBlack is with Conway Family Eye Care and an active member of the American Optometric Association. She is the past-president of the Arkansas Optometric Association, a previous recipient of the Arkansas Optometric Association Optometrist of the Year Award as well as the Distinguished Service Award. Her practice received the 2020 Best of Faulkner County Award for best optometrist. Congratulations to Dr. DeBlack.
