Peds

A variety of management options are available to our patients. While eyeglasses and contact lenses are frequently utilized, additional options may be appropriate for you or your child.

  • An eye patch or eye drop to treat amblyopia
  • Contact lens fitting and management for aphakic infants and young children
  • Prism in eyeglasses to aid in compensating for strabismus or other eye coordination problems and to eliminate double vision
  • Vision therapy for children and adults
    • Vision therapy is a program of vision exercises that are customized for each patient.
    • The goal of vision therapy is to eliminate strabismus, amblyopia and non-strabismic eye coordination and focusing difficulties.
    • Treatment is either conducted at the clinic on a weekly basis or primarily home-based, including computer programs, with periodic evaluations and modifications provided by your doctor.
  • Consultation with a pediatric ophthalmologist regarding strabismus (eye muscle) surgery and ocular disease
