The Pediatrics and Binocular Vision Service is staffed by pediatric optometrists who utilize the latest methods and instruments to examine infants and children. Consultation with a pediatric ophthalmologist is also available. Our patient reception area creates a child-friendly atmosphere for our patients and their family members.

While infants and preschool children are a major focus, the Pediatrics and Binocular Vision Service doctors provide vision examinations, evaluation and management for a variety of patients and conditions including:

  • Any child under six years of age
  • Special needs children whose development is at a preschool level
    • NOVA Clinic - is available for children with multiple challenges
  • School-aged children with learning difficulties
  • Children and adults with eye coordination problems including
  • Teens and adults with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, or anyone with developmental delays
    • The SNAPS Clinic - Cares for patients with a variety of disabilities and with different levels of cognitive aptitude..

The Development Center

This center of the Pediatrics and Binocular Vision Service provides evaluation and treatment for children from infancy through 10 years of age, who are having difficulty learning letters, difficulty learning how to read or understand math, or learning difficulties in the classroom.

The NOVA Clinic

Non-invasive Objective Visual Assessment

The NOVA Clinic serves children with multiple challenges, including those with visual impairment. Evaluation of all aspects of vision function and recommendations to maximize available vision are provided.
