UHCO Community Clinic Impact

Posted On: 08/09/2018

UHCO is committed to Enhancing Vision for Life. Our community clinics, the Eye Center at Heights (formerly Good Neighbor) and HOPE Clinics in Houston, the Cedar Springs Clinic in Dallas and the Community Eye Clinic in Fort Worth (Partnership with the University of Incarnate Word) provide vision care to underserved populations. The clinics serve over 23,000 patients annually and provides externship opportunities for 60 future optometrists. Student clinicians and doctors care for patients needing low vision rehabilitation, diabetes, contact lens fitting and other health issues. Their efforts provide access to care for patients, educational opportunities for students, and an increase in vision awareness among community members.

A gift of $100 will support the impact our community clinics make!
