FERV Annual Anderson Fair Concert

By: Posted On: 09/12/2017

FERV serves as the fundraising arm for UHCO and manages the class scholarship endowments. The first seven fundraisers have been successful and netted a total of almost $100,000 to support UHCO Class Scholarship Endowments. A separate UHCO Class Endowment for each and every class that has graduated, or ever will graduate from UHCO was established in 2004. When an individual class endowment reaches $30,000 it begins to fund a yearly scholarship named after that class. Thus far, 12 classes have met and exceeded that level and all of the class endowment funds together now total over $1,000,000.

With the rising cost of tuition, scholarships allow UHCO to assist the best and brightest students as they pursue their goal of becoming an OD. Often, scholarships are the deciding factor on which school an applicant decides to attend. Students from Texas as well as out of state benefit and the scholarships and they give us leverage as we compete with other schools for the most talented students. We have scholarship recipients currently from Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Virginia, West Virginia, and Canada!
