Wendy joined the College of Optometry in March 2024. She has been with the University of Houston since September 2019. Wendy was a first generation and non-traditional college student. Wendy obtained a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M – Texarkana in Business.

Before joining UH she worked at Lone Star College System and Texarkana College. Wendy has more than 25 years in higher education. In her spare time, she enjoys land cruising and spending time with her grandkids. Wendy also has a cat named Captain Morgan.
