The Pediatrics and Binocular Vision Service provides evaluation and management for patients under six years of age, patients whose development is at a preschool level, and patients of all ages with eye teaming problems such as amblyopia "lazy eye", diplopia "double vision", and strabismus "crossed eye". Treatments offered include vision therapy.
The Pediatrics and Binocular Vision Service is staffed by pediatric optometrists and ophthalmologists who utilize the latest methods and instruments to examine infants and children. Our patient reception area creates a child-friendly atmosphere for our patients and their family members.
The Development Center serves children with learning difficulties.
The NOVA Clinic (Non-invasive Objective Visual Assessment) serves children with multiple challenges, including those with visual impairment. Evaluation of all aspects of vision function and recommendations to maximize available vision are provided.
The Ocular Motility Clinic evaluates patients with nystagmus and other eye movement disorders.
Vision Therapy is a program of vision exercises that are customized for each patient. Treatment is conducted at the clinic on a weekly basis or can be primarily home-based with periodic evaluations and modifications provided by your doctor. The goal of vision therapy is to eliminate strabismus, amblyopia and non-strabismic eye coordination and focusing difficulties.
