The Center for Sight Enhancement (CSE) provides multidisciplinary service, training and resources in low vision rehabilitation to help people of all ages with vision loss lead independent and productive lives. With cutting-edge technology and a nationally renowned faculty, we provide excellence in care and compassion.

The UEI Center for Sight Enhancement is pleased to partner with the Houston Area Visually Impaired Network (HAVIN). HAVIN consists of various support groups providing resources for visually impaired people across the vast area of the Bayou City. HAVIN’s mission is to bring unity to the visually impaired community, and we’re excited to host another city wide event.
The Houston Area Insight Expo 2013 will be a half-day event with workshops, feature speakers, panel discussions, information, and resources for the visually impaired. Some workshop topics include “Adjusting to Blindness” moderated by UHCO faculty member Dr. Nicole Hooper, OD, and “An iPhone Accessibility Introduction” led by Michael McCulloch and Sandhya Rao.
The keynote speaker, Stephen P. Daigler, Ph.D. will be speaking on the “Latest treatments for Retinal Diseases.” Dr. Daigler is the Director of the Laboratory for Molecular Diagnosis of Inherited Eye Diseases at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
