The Scholarships and Financial Aid Committee of the College of Optometry works closely with the university's financial aid office. More than 30 optometric scholarships are available to outstanding students. Additionally, emergency short-term loans for tuition and fees are available on the University's Enrollment Services Website.
The optometry curriculum requires a major commitment of time and concentration. It is recommended that first- and second-year students develop a financial plan that does not require employment. Part-time work with local optometrists as well as work-study positions and a number of teaching assistant/tutoring positions are available to upper-level students with excellent academic records.
