Dr. Glasser completed a B.S. in biology, a M.S. in neurobiology at the State University of New York at Albany in 1990 and a Ph.D. in physiology from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y. in 1994, a first postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 1996 and a second postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1998 Dr. Glasser joined the University of Houston College of Optometry as Assistant Professor and received promotion to Professor in 2005. Dr. Glasser teaches geometric optics in the Optometry program and serves as a consultant to companies with interests in accommodation and presbyopia and accommodation restoration concepts.
